The Apps for Climate Action Contest, sponsored by the B.C government, challenged Canadian software developers to use data in new apps to raise awareness for climate change and inspire action to reduce carbon emissions. The prize for Best Overall App was awarded to Zerofootprint for VELO.

ClimateSpark, an online venture capital contest launched by the Toronto Atmospheric Fund, was designed to shine a light on innovative green business ideas. Zerofootprint was awarded best overall green business for fighting climate change, as voted by the ClimateSpark community and an expert panel.
