If we’re making environmental impact measurable and manageable for our clients, how could we not have a sustainability policy of our own? We practice what we preach.
Our commitment
We are our people. We provide comprehensive health coverage and enable a balanced lifestyle through such practices as flexible work hours, remote access, and teleconferencing tools.
Our responsibility
Our policy
Any paper and recyclable material that comes into our office either leaves in a useful state or is diverted to recycling.
All paper is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, the gold standard for 100% recycled, chlorine-free paper manufacturing.
Our team enjoys organic fruit, organic fair-trade coffee and organic milk delivered weekly by local suppliers.
We reduce our footprint by using web and teleconferencing in situations where in flying or driving are optional.
Indoor bike parking is offered to 90% of our employees who walk, bike, or take public transit to and from work everyday.
Zero carbon footprint
Some operational activities cannot be avoided with behavioural actions, such as heating our office during the cold Canadian winters, air travel, paper and printing, energy consumption, and courier service. Zerofootprint has an internal carbon offsetting programme that measures our total environmental impact and ensures that we take the necessary steps to offset. What is carbon offsetting? Essentially, its giving back. For every metric tonne of carbon emissions our activities produce, we purchase the same amount in qualified offsets produced from sources like wind turbines, solar energy generation, and sustainable forestry programmes.
