Escaping the cold winter temperatures and limited food sources of their high north breeding grounds, many waterfowl species fly south to warmer climates, including Toronto’s waterfront. Conservation staff will offer identification tips and demonstrate the habitat creation underway at this unique park. Dress warmly for the outdoors and bring binoculars and a bird field guide if you have them. This event is recommended for adults and children above the age of five. Registration is required. In the event of extreme weather conditions on the day of the event, call the hotline for a notice of cancellation. For further information and registration, call the Stewardship Hotline (at least two business days before the event) at (416) 661-6600, ext. 5660.
