Green Qualities of Pultruded Fiberglass

1. Pultrusions have low embodied energy. Embodied energy is defined as “the total energy required to produce a product from the raw materials stage through delivery.” Pultrusions have about 80 percent less embodied energy than aluminum and 39 percent less than vinyl.

2. Pultrusions insulate against heat, cold and electricity. This saves for the life of the product

3. Fibertec pultrusions include 10 percent recycled material
