On behalf of Ontario Centres of Excellence Inc. (OCE), I commend Zerofootprint™ on your contribution to the new School of Environment, Enterprise and Development (SEED) at the University of Waterloo. The first ZEROlab™ facility to be installed on a Canadian university campus will provide Waterloo students and faculty the opportunity to engage with some innovative new, made-in-Ontario technology. The ZEROlab™ will feature Zerofootprint’s VELO™ carbon management software. Ontario Centres of Excellence sees the value in establishing sustainable communities throughout the Province. To reach globally relevant carbon footprint targets, our communities will need to measure and monitor their energy use in all forms. They will need to implement the most innovative and transformative energy management tools.  OCE recognizes that the ZEROlab™ has the potential to develop these tools and be a major player in sustainability research and technology development. OCE is pleased to have been able to support the work of Zerofootprint™ during the past year and we look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with both SEED and Zerofootprint™ in providing opportunities for enhanced learning for students and the acceleration of inventions to commercial application.
