Zerofootprint eases Carbon Disclosure Project reporting, Regulation & Policy

Large organizations reporting their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions under the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) now have a tool that make it easier for them to do so. Zerofootprint introduced its One-Click CDP Report this week, an application that is part of the company’s VELO Enterprise Carbon Management software.

Zerofootprint enables Toronto community to significantly reduce carbon emissions, Energy Conservation

Last month, the Jane/Finch Community and Family Centre won the Green Toronto Award in Community Projects for being able to abate 2,000 tonnes of carbon emissions in 2009. By winning the award, the low-income, densely populated area of about 80,000 residents showed that with the proper tools, fighting climate change can be done on a shoestring budget.

Energy consumption software a possibility for Waterloo

HUNTSVILLE — Electricity consumption at Huntsville’s greenest building could soon be monitored using state-of-the-art software.

The creator of a company called Zerofootprint, which uses software to wirelessly measure utility consumption, could be doing a demonstration at the University of Waterloo environmental facility, according to Huntsville mayor Claude Doughty.

Doughty says he hopes the technology could eventually be built into the facility.
