Large organizations reporting their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions under the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) now have a tool that make it easier for them to do so. Zerofootprint introduced its One-Click CDP Report this week, an application that is part of the company’s VELO Enterprise Carbon Management software.
The new application significantly reduces the time investment for organizations to complete the required CDP filing information, according to Zerofootprint. “Using the One-Click CDP Report template, users are able to generate annual quantitative CDP numbers with a single mouse click,” reads a statement.
Ron Dembo, CEO and founder of Zerofootprint, says the company is committed to helping all types of organizations to measure and report on their GHG emissions and climate change strategies through the CDP. “The Carbon Disclosure Project is a great way for organizations to receive recognition from investors, corporations and governments for taking action and following best practices in addressing climate change,” he adds.
Thousands of organizations across the world’s major economies, including Samsung Electronics, BMW, Cisco, Bank of Montreal and Chevron measure and disclose GHG emissions and climate change strategies through the CDP. The CDP is an independent, not-for-profit organization holding the largest database of primary corporate climate change information in the world. The CDP is leading the charge in efforts to inform the global marketplace on investment risk and commercial opportunity in relation to climate change.
