NEW YORK, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/—(Climate Week)—Zerofootprint, a leading developer of tools to measure and reduce the environmental footprint of individuals and organizations of all sizes, announced today at New York Climate Week the availability of the industry’s first benchmarking service VELOmetrics™.

The call this week at the Climate Summit in New York has been to encourage companies and organizations to measure and compare carbon footprint metrics. To meet this challenge Zerofootprint is launching a tool that works with any carbon footprint software or traditional spreadsheets and enables associations, alliances or global organization to aggregate data and help members measure their levels of success in reducing their carbon footprint.

“Governments, multinational organizations, large companies, industry associations and municipalities want to compare data between members, buildings and cities to gain critical insights that help companies make a tangible difference in reducing their carbon based footprint,” said Dr. Ron Dembo, CEO and founder of Zerofootprint. “VELOmetrics™ will be able to meet the needs of these numerous organizations.”

VELOmetrics™ provides an easy-to-use data collection tool so even organizations that are new to carbon reporting can participate immediately. It analyzes data from organizations to create industry benchmarks, cost-effectively. VELOmetrics™ enables companies to measure themselves against industry peers across the world, regardless of the carbon footprint software or how they capture their data today.
